Unreal Tournament 2007 Not a PS3 Launch Title

Is Unreal Tournament 2007 a PS3 launch title or not?

It looks like Unreal Tournament 2007 might not be a launch title after all, despite fevered speculation that the hotly-anticipated shooter would arrive for the PS3 on day one.

That's according to a post made by Jeff "War_Tourist" Morris on December 31st in the official Atari Community forums. Morris is a producer with Epic Games, creators of the Unreal series.

"We're not scheduled to be a PS3 launch title," Morris wrote in a response to a user requesting clarification on UT 2007's ship date. Which system will UT 2007 come out on? "PC first," according to Morris.

Morris also mentioned that he wasn't sure where the PS3/UT2007 launch rumors came from. PC fans can breathe a sigh of relief, though, especially since there will definitely be a playable demo before the final game ships later in 2006.
