New Zelda Playable on Revolution Controller, Revolution in November

The rumor mill is churning full-time on Zelda and the Revolution.

Is Nintendo getting creative with its Revolution plans?

Word has come from gaming blog Joystiq that NGC is reporting two bombshell rumors.

The first is that Nintendo is designing The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess to make use of the next-gen Revolution's sophisticated wireless controller. This might mean that players could swing the controller to make Link swing his sword, for instance. It doesn't mean that the game is Revolution-only; don't forget that the Revolution can play GameCube games, as well.

The second rumor is that the Revolution is launching in November of 2006. But as Nintendo has not formally announced a launch date, it's wise to take this gossip with a huge grain of salt.

Will 2006 be the Year of Nintendo?
