GTA: Liberty City Stories Sees Strong Sales

Rockstar's trademark franchise debuts with strong sales in its first month.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP has moved over 158,000 copies in its first month, according to NPD data. It was the top portable game and the number three overall game for October.

Even with these strong sales numbers, Liberty City Stories is not moving PSP hardware as predicted. Even a game of this caliber is not quite enough to convince American consumers to shell out over $250 for a portable gaming console.
