Satin Silver PS2 to Have Game Playback Issues

Sony's special edition slim PStwo to release with known issues.

According to IGN, the upcoming Satin Silver PS2, slated for release in Japan on November 23, has problems running numerous PlayStation and a handful of PlayStation 2 games.

Sony has released an official release of all known game issues in Japanese here. Thanks to IGN for translating the PS2 list to English, which appears below.

  • Gauntlet Dark Legacy: Occasionally freezes during the opening movie
  • The Stylish Mahjong: Occasionally freezes at the save screen
  • Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix: Sound effects occasionally get stuck in a loop.
  • F1 2001: Occasionally freezes after the title logo
  • F1 2002: Occasionally freezes when the game is booted up with a GT-FORCE controller attached
  • Hitman: Contracts: Takes longer to create a save file
  • Tekken 5: Occasionally freezes when selecting Tekken 3 from Arcade History

    The Satin Silver P2two will also include a silver Dual Shock 2 controller and a silver vertical stand.
