Nintendo to Bring DS Wi-Fi to McDonald's

Free DS wireless Internet coming to McDonalds.

Nintendo of America plans to announce today that it will offer up free wireless Internet access to Nintendo DS users at select McDonald's restaurants nationwide. Nintendo recently unveiled its plan for free worldwide DS wireless service at E3 in May, and the McDonald's deal will be one of the first to get the handheld online.

Service provider Wayport expects to have wi-fi in over 7,000 McDonald's locations in the US in the near future.

Mario Kart DS and Tony Hawk's American SK8Land will be the first two online compatible titles, with Animal Crossing: Wild World and Metroid Prime: Hunters to follow.
