EA Offers "Final Answer" on Buggy PSP Madden; Players Launch Recall Site

More woes for EA's beleagured portable pigskin.

It all started with complaints from PSP owners that the recently-released Madden NFL 06 suffered from a host of woes, the worst of which caused PSPs to crash when in the game's Franchise mode.

EA has listed a number of workarounds, which have come straight from the game's developer (Tiburon), but the apparently, the results have been inconsistent.

Most recently, EA reported that the workaround may be the company's "final answer" to the problem. But according to some disgruntled customers on the EA site, the workaround does nothing to stop the crashes.

"Mmm, no, the workaround does -not- work. If needed I can make a short video showing this," responded a user named cypherpunk2020.

Now customers are fighting back: they've launched a recall site called simply "Recall Madden." The site states that "the [PSP] game is unacceptable" and that site exists to "help the Madden users unite against EA".

"Our goal is not to harass EA or Tiburon, but to let them know what we want."

Will the publishing powerhouse issue a downloadable patch or recall the game? All eyes are on EA.
