Hurricane Katrina leaves a trail of devastation, but the video game industry is doing its part to fight the chaos. Here's how you can help.
Bungie, creators of the Halo series, is leading the charge againt the crippling effects of Hurricane Katrina, which has devastated states like Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Bungie has unveiled a new t-shirt to help raise money for the hurricane victims. The shirt costs $19.99, and "at least $15" of that money will go to the American Red Cross; presumably, the rest will go towards the costs of the t-shirt and the printing process. Bungie pledges that "not a penny profit will be made and every cent of cash will go where it's needed." So in other words, buy the damn thing already.Bungie is also donating the entirety of their September store profits to the American Red Cross, and is organizing a charity auction towards the end of the month where it'll put rare Halo memorabilia up for bid.
Great work, guys.
