War series gets a dose of sweet, sweet Hollywood.
Six years, seven actors. World War II is about to get a punch in the arm from some of the war film genre's most notable thespians. Activision has announced the cast for its much-anticipated Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One:
Michael Cudlitz ('Band of Brothers,' 'Live From Baghdad,' 'The Negotiator')
Rick Gomez ('Band of Brothers,' 'Ray,' 'Sin City')
Frank John Hughes ('Band of Brothers,' 'Catch Me If You Can')
James Madio ('Band of Brothers,' 'Shark Tale')
Ross McCall ('Band of Brothers,' 'EMR,' 'Hooligans')
Rene L. Moreno ('Band of Brothers,' 'Last Flight Out')
Richard Speight Jr. ('Band of Brothers,' 'Into The West')
All the actors are veterans of the noted HBO miniseries 'Band of Brothers,' and should help add some authenticity to the games, especially since the next-gen console Call of Duty 2 chronicles the experiences of four seperate soldiers. Big Red One, meanwhile, represents a sort of 'greatest hits' of WWII, as it depicts the Army's famous Fighting 1st Infantry Division (aka the Big Red One) as it tore across Europe.
