Metroid Prime Hunters Pushed Back to 2006

The anticipated DS title falls back to '06, other dates announced.

Yesterday Nintendo of America released its product line-up through the 2005/2006 holiday season for the GameCube and the company's three handheld systems, the DS, the GameBoy Advance, and the upcoming GameBoy Micro. While the list revealed a large number of forthcoming console and handheld titles, the anticipated Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS has been delayed until Q1 2006.

A playable demo of Hunters comes bundled with all Nintendo DS hardware units, though the complete game has been subject to more than one delay since the DS launch last November. With The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess recently falling back to 2006, Hunters marks the second big name Nintendo title to miss the prime holiday launch slot.

A number of other high-profile Nintendo titles were inked for release, including Mario Kart DS on November 14th and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time on November 28th.

You can find the complete list of titles from Nintendo of America here.
