Nintendo delays Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess until 2006

Nintendo announces that Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has been delayed globally until 2006.

Nintendo announced today that they have delayed the release of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess until some time in 2006. Originally, the game was slated to ship this Fall for the GameCube.

Since it's debut at E3 two years ago, the upcoming Zelda title has remained at the top of many gamers' most wanted lists, and was even playable at the most recent E3.

Depsite the apparent solidity of the recent E3 playable builds, it appears that Nintendo may have a few more tricks up its sleeve. The main reason cited by the company is to add some new, never-before-seen elements to the game.

According to reports, Nintendo will be announcing a new release date for the game following the close of the fiscal year, which falls on March 31st.
