Sam Fisher Goes Hollywood

DreamWorks looking to snag Splinter Cell film rights.

Sam Fisher is close to sliver-screen stardom. DreamWorks is currently in the process of obtaining the film rights to Tom Clancy and Ubisoft's best-selling video game franchise Splinter Cell.

Daniel Pyne (Any Given Sunday, The Sum of All Fears) is set to pen the script for the former Paramount production. DreamWorks is hoping to take the reigns on the Splinter Cell project that Michael Ovitz, Clancy's longtime manager, is producing.

Gamers may remember a Splinter Cell movie teaser trailer on the Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory disc that proved the existence of a Hollywood project.

Actors and a director are yet to be cast.
