Film News: Mortal Kombat 3!

Multimillion-dollar prodcution studio / amusement park in the works...talks of MK3 movie.

Mortal Kombat producers are eyeing the banks of the Mississippi river for the location of a $150 million studio and amusement park that would house the series' next movie. The 100-150K square feet of production space would double as an amusement park, as well as the shooting grounds for Threshold Entertainment's next film in the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat: Devastation.

The film studio/tourist attraction would be one of the first of its kind, giving fans the opportunity to watch a film being made from an observation deck.

The project would need to be approved by a number of governing bodies on the river including the city of New Orleans, the Port of New Orleans, and the State of Louisiana. And given the recent governmental backlash toward the video game industry, nothing is for sure.
