Lawrence Taylor to terrorize Blitz: The League

Midway signs rowdy Hall of Fame inductee for upcoming football game.

When Midway said that they wanted their upcoming mature-themed football game Blitz: The League to explore the "harsh realism and troubling, behind-the-scenes stories" of football players, they weren't kidding around.

Midway today announced that it had signed NFL Hall of Fame inductee Lawrence Taylor to star in their upcoming Blitz: The League. Taylor, known by fans as "L.T.," will provide both the voice and the likeness of the main character in the game, which is due out this October.

Taylor is nearly as famous (or is it infamous?) for his drug- and alcohol-fueled exploits as he is for being linebacker for the New York Giants, a position he served in from 1981 through 1993.
