PSP Maintains Lead Over DS in Hardware Sales

Console sales trends remain unchanged this week.
Media Create has released its weekly sales charts covering the week ending March 13th, 2005. The PSP continues to lead sales despite its lackluster software sales, selling over 46,000 units--nearly double the DS sales. PlayStation 2 continues to dominate in the home console market, its sales spurred by the release of the smaller PlayStation 2 unit.

PlayStation 2: 41,349 (Annual: 562,046)
Nintendo DS: 26,537 (Annual: 407,099)
Game Boy Advance SP: 14,596 (Annual: 186,753)
GameCube: 4,245 (Annual: 66,659)
Game Boy Advance: 616 (Annual: 5,776)
Xbox: 244 (Annual: 4,261)
