Half-Life 2 Sells 1.7 Million Copies

Critically acclaimed shooter sells well in North America and Europe.
In a low key blurb on its official site, Vivendi Universal has revealed that Half-Life 2 sold nearly 1.7 million in copies in the two months it has been out.Sales have been particularly strong in the U.S., Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Scandinavia.
Faced with delays and federal crackdowns until its launch, Half-Life 2 has still emerged a success. Expect to see more of Gordon Freeman in the form of expansion packs and inevitable sequels.
