L.A. Rush

Street racing game to be released on PS2 and Xbox next spring.

Midway Games announced today the development of L.A. Rush, a street racing game slated for release in spring 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

As the name suggests, the game takes place in LA, with players able to explore anywhere from Compton, to LAX, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the beaches of Santa Monica. Like other racing games such as Midnight Club, you can take shortcuts, get chased by cops, and do high-flying jumps. Over 50 licensed and concept cars, classic muscle cars, SUVs and import tuners will be featured, with customizable parts and designs--including several exclusive West Coast Customs vehicle concepts.

More details are expected to be unveiled in early 2005.
