Doom 3 Tops Charts Worldwide

State-of-the-art horror shooter proves a winner worldwide.
Activision announced today that Doom 3 is topping the software sales charts worldwide. According to NPD Techworld, the game debuted as the number 1 best-selling PC game in the U.S. for the week ending August 7, and was number one in Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Austrailia."Doom 3 continues id Software's legacy of setting a new benchmark in PC gaming with every game it develops," said Ron Doornink, President and CEO, Activision Publishing. "The game has been critically acclaimed worldwide and we expect momentum to continue as it releases in new territories."
Terrifyingly yet brilliantly disturbing, the game is understandably rated "M" for Mature.
