New Metroid Prime Bundle Announced for GameCube

Still retaining the $99 price tag, a Metroid Prime 2 demo disc to be added as a bonus.

Nintendo has announced that it will offer a bonus disc to those who purchase the Metroid Prime bundle, including the demo of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes.

"Other companies sell their systems starting at $150," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "No one can match Nintendo's value as we offer a Nintendo GameCube and two free discs, all at an MSRP of just $99.99."

The bundle, which will be offered starting August 15, includes a playable level and two cinematic trailers. Other trimmings include The Metroid Chronicle, an interactive history of the franchise, and a Metroid Prime art gallery. Keeping the same price tag, the bundled console will retail for $99.99.
