Ubisoft Delays Brothers In Arms to 2005

French publisher to bump the WWII FPS from the saturated Christmas market.

Publisher Ubisoft has delayed WWII first-person shooter Brothers in Arms to early 2005, reportedly unveiling the news to journalists in Paris.

No reasons were given for the delay, but the most likely one would be to prevent being overshadowed by the holiday big-hitters of Doom 3, Half-Life 2 and Halo 2. A Medal of Honor/Call of Duty type shooter, the game hopes to bring realistic gun fighting and cinematic immersion (once again) to the European battlefront of World War II.

With the slip, the two most notable titles for the French publisher during the holiday season will be Prince of Persia 2 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
