ESPN Addresses NFL 2K5 Online Issues

Bargain bin-priced football game to get its online issues fixed in less than two weeks.

ESPN Videogames has announced that fixes to the various online issues for ESPN NFL 2K5 are on the way. According to an official post over message boards, there will be a server update on July 30, 2004 that will "attempt to address the login and roster problems" for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Xbox users who have difficulties in getting or receiving challenges for matches are suggested to power down and restart the Xbox. "Currently, users must reset their Xbox if they initiate or receive four or more challenges if they wish to send or receive game invites. We are working hard to address this by August 6, 2004," the forum post read.

Small hitches for a critically acclaimed game that sells for as low as $16 in some retail outlets.
