EA Announces The Sims 2 Limited Edition DVD

DVD edition available only through pre-orders at major retailers.

Electronic Arts announced today that it will release a special limited edition DVD for The Sims 2 for PC. Shipping at the same time as the CD version on September 17, the DVD version will only be available through pre-orders at major retailers.

"We're excited to be giving our community of fans the ability to really immerse themselves in the world of The Sims," said Lucy Bradshaw, Executive Producer of the game at EA's Maxis studio. "Not only will players enjoy endless hours of gameplay filled with numerous adventures, they'll be able to enhance their Sims experience with the bonus features included in this special edition DVD."

In addition to the full version of the game, The Sims 2 has interviews from the game designers giving tips and tricks, a film making tutorial for in-game movies, humorous outtakes and bugs that never made it into the game, and various assets to customize your desktop.

The Sims 2 is developed by EA's Maxis studio and will be available on the PC under the EA Games brand.
