Nintendo Announces Berry Update for Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire

Never let your berries run dry with a program update for Pok?mon Ruby/Sapphire.

Nintendo has announced an update to fix internal clock issues with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, which made certain berry trees stop producing berries after playing the game for one year.

There are two ways to update your game -- the game will be automatically updated when you connect to Pokemon Colosseum, or you can also take the game cartridge to a GameCube interactive display at either GameStop or EB Games to download the free update.

In addition to fixing the glitch, Nintendo has promised a "special gift" that players can receive.

The requirements are:

  1. Make sure that your active team has five or less Pokemon in it.
  2. You must have saved the game at least once after obtaining Torchic, Treecko or Mudkip from Professor Birch.
