Final Fantasy XI, PlayStation 2 Hard Drive Released

PS2 version of Final Fantasy XI includes the 40 GB Hard Drive.

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced that Final Fantasy XI for the PlayStation 2 is available at retailers across North America. The game comes bundled with the 40 GB hard drive, and retails for $99.99.

Final Fantasy XI is a subscription-based MMORPG, putting players in the evolving world of Vana'diel. You can play as one of five races (Hume, Elvaan, Tarutaru, Mithra, Galka) and choose from six initial jobs (warrior, monk, white mage, black mage, and red mage), which, as in the old school Final Fantasy installments, opens up to more specialized jobs.

Only a couple other games so far will support the PlayStation 2 hard drive, including Socom II, Resident Evil Outbreak, and Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain.
