Vin Diesel Unveils His Own Game Dev Company

Tigon Studios to feature games with the actor.

Vin Diesel, star of XXX and Fast and the Furious, has unveiled his own video game company -- Tigon Studios. A self-proclaimed gamer, he hinted at plans of making his own game development studio over a year ago during a promotional tour for the DVD release of XXX. The company's name comes from the word used to describe an offspring between a tiger and lion.

The self-financed company will have Diesel acting as producer, involving himself in creating story lines, writing dialogues and directing cinematics. Tigon's CEO is Cos Lazouras, who formerly produced Fox Interactive's "Planet of the Apes."

Work has already begun on their first game, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay, which is being made by Swedish developer Starbreeze, known for the first-person shooter Enclave.
