Sony Announces Ratchet & Clank 3 For Fall Release

Follow the continuing adventures of two unlikely heroes as they once again save the universe while cracking jokes.

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced in a press release today that a third Ratchet and Clank game would be making its way to the PlayStation 2 this fall. Coming just in time for the holiday season, Insomniac's latest release once again follows the unlikely mammal and robot duo on their quest to save the world, all the while making a profit.

The original Ratchet & Clank was something of a sleeper hit for Incomniac and Sony, and the second title Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando garnered critical acclaim upon its release. The first game also holds the honor of being the first US developed game to be bundled with a console as a pack-in title in Japan.

We will have more information on the game next month, but until then you'll have to be content with this screenshot.
