Champions of Norrath Goes Gold

PlayStation 2 RPG game to hit stores early month.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Champions of Norrath has gone gold for the PlayStation 2, and will ship to North American retailers on February 11, 2004.

"The wait is just about over for one of the most anticipated console games of 2004," said Michael Lustenberger, director of marketing, Sony Online Entertainment. "With five playable characters, randomly generated dungeons, online co-op action with up to four players and relentless, non-stop action, Champions of Norrath offers an incredible gameplay experience for every type of gamer."

Taking place in the world of EverQuest, Champions of Norrath features randomly generated dungeons and online and offline cooperative multiplayer adventuring. Up to four players can play over the Internet via broadband connection using the Network Adaptor for the PlayStation 2. Champions of Norrath offers both voice chat and keyboard support for players to chat during online play. Players can also use a multitap to play together on a single PS2.
