Next PlayStation to Have Built-In Motion Detection?

Sony suggests that the EyeToy may have only been the beginning.
Could the PlayStation 3 have motion-sensing equipment similar to the Eye Toy built in? Comments made by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe?s Vice President to the Austrialian Financial Review seem to indicate that it?s certainly a possibility. In an interview with the financial and business periodical, Harrison mentioned that Sony is currently looking into integrating a more advanced version of the EyeToy (which is basically a video camera with pattern-recognition software) into the PS3, meaning gestures, finger movement, and even facial expression might play a role in some future games. This is intriguing news, since integrating such technology into a console almost always leads to a greater usage of the technology among developers. If an EyeToy-like system were to be on board the PS3, the chance of seeing home version of motion-intensive games like Police 911 would greatly increase, and ?pasting your likeness? onto a polygon model would probably wind up an option in almost every single extreme sports game.
