BloodRayne 2 Announced for PS2 and Xbox

The half-vampire heroine returns in the hunt for blood and justice.

Majesco today announced the development of BloodRayne 2 for the Xbox and PS2. The next installment will take place in modern times, with BloodRayne continuing her quest to rid the world of her wicked vampire siblings. Her dead vampire father Kagan left a multitude of vampire offspring who have created ?The Shroud,? a substance than makes vampires immune to the sun?s rays and corrupts nature.

The original BloodRayne was a third-person action game that put you in the role of a half-human, half-vampire who could suck blood out of enemies for health. New features for the game include vertical/horizontal pole combat, rail sliding, special powers from feeding on bosses, unlockable combos, and dramatic fatality moves (hopefully different from Mortal Kombat). For the more aesthetically conscious, Rayne can now change costumes as well.

BloodRayne 2 will be available in October 2004 for the PS2 Xbox, and PC.
