Sequel to popular action game to hit stores this month
Rockstar Games has announced that the third-person action game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne for the PC has gone gold. Max Payne, well known for its Matrix-esque bullet-time slow motion will return once again with revamped cinematic effects. Like its predecessor, you play as embittered and psychologically tortured Max Payne, whose attraction for a mysterious murder suspect called Mona Sax sparks his fire to battle injustice once again. Rockstar set out to make this installation a "film noir love story," and with that they have emphasized more character development, unfolding the story in graphic novel-like sequences. Using Half-Life 2s Havok physics engine, the game will feature ragdoll physics and interactive environments, as well as improved A.I. With a name like Fall of Max Payne, we can expect a dark plotline with some compelling twists.Max Payne 2 is set for release for the PC on October 15, and December 3 for the PS 2 and Xbox.
