TGS 2003: First screens of Bioware?s latest RPG

Microsoft finally reveals more about Jade Empire at the 2003 Tokyo Game Show.

Fans who have waited with baited breath regarding the next RPG from the makers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic can finally exhale. Microsoft has revealed the first screens and new information on Bioware?s latest creation, Jade Empire. According to the official release, the game is set in a mythical China and said to be ?a fast-paced, martial arts action role-playing game?.

The relative peace of an isolated martial arts school is disturbed by a series of evil events. Your character, a martial arts master, must embark on a quest to find the source of these ill deeds, aided by the ability to learn 30 fighting styles and a host of magical powers. The journey stretches from the Land of the Howling Spirits, to the sumptuous gardens of the Imperial City. SW: KotOR?s popular option of choosing between a good or evil character will also be incorporated into Jade Empire

Jade Empire is exclusive to the Xbox and has no set release date. Microsoft representatives contacted by GamePro declined to give even vague estimates on a ship date.
