EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers Enters Open Beta

20,000 users jump on the chance to try the expansion.

EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers opened up its beta test yesterday, inviting over 20,000 gamers to test out the new land of Tunaria via their PS2s. The first expansion for the online RPG features all the perks dedicated EverQuesters expect: new items, new quests, new monsters, one new playable race (the Ogre) and a new character class (the Alchemist). Sony is also testing out new communications and travel features, so that players will be able to find their friends more easily in the expanded world.

The beta will run until mid-September, and after it closes, gamers will be forced to wait until the expansion pack?s release in November to see it for themselves. For more information, check Sony?s official EverQuest: Online Adventures web site.
