Xenosaga Episode II Screens

The characters have changed more than you'd expect.
Following up on their announcement in Japanese game magazines this week, Namco opened up an official website today for Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose, sequel to the epic RPG they released earlier this year in America. There's still no release date for the PlayStation 2 sequel, but at least now there's a mess of screenshots and robot designs to stare at until some more info comes down the wire.Although Namco isn't talking about Episode II's story or new characters yet, they did reveal one important detail in the homepage: Yasunori Mitsuda, the music composer for Episode I, is not handling music duties this time around. In his place is Yuki Kajiura, who doesn't have a ton of game experience but has demonstrated in her anime work (including the assorted .hack OVAs and TV series) that she's more than capable of handling the job. Otherwise, the basic staff is all back for Episode II?including character designer Kunihiko Tanaka, a bit of a surprise considering the makeover many characters have undergone in the screenshots.
