Sword of Mana Special-Edition GBA Unveiled

Teal must be the "in" color in Japan.

Remember back when teal was the most fashionable color in America? Remember how every expansion team in pro sports used teal as part of their logo in the early 90s? Now you'll be able to live those halcyon days all over again in the palm of your hand?Square Enix took the wraps off a new special-edition Game Boy Advance SP today, set to launch alongside the Japanese version of RPG remake Sword of Mana.

The new GBA, colored a lovely shade of teal that Squenix is officially calling "Mana Blue," will be sold in a bundle with the game starting August 29. The price of the package: a reasonable 18,300 yen ($153), not too far from what you'd pay for the game and SP separately in the region.

This special package will be sold alongside Sword of Mana (a.k.a. Shin'yaku Seiken Densetsu) in Japanese stores beginning August 29. The U.S. version is scheduled to come out November in North America; no word on whether gamers over here will get to grab the teal SP as well.

A GBA SP for those with an aquatic outlook on life.
