The U.S. Postal Service loses to Running With Scissors.
Running With Scissors, the loudmouth developers behind Postal and its recently-released PC sequel, announced today that the U.S. Department of Commerce has dismissed a complaint from the United States Postal Service that claims RWS' game defames their employees. The complaint, filed with the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board of the commerce department, was originally submitted as part of the USPS' backlash against the original Postal game six years ago. The ultra-violent PC title "does a grave disservice to the more than 750,000 men and women who work hard every day," commented Postmaster General Marvin Runyon at the time.
In a press release sent out today, RWS head Vince Desi responded to the USPS with his typical strong language. "With unlimited financial resources comes unlimited ego," he said. "Postal and Postal 2 represent everything the USPS isn't: a successful private enterprise that will never have to rely on an irrevocable government contract to keep its pockets perpetually lined with cash."
