The U.S. version is getting closer...

Square Enix U.S.A. sent word today that the official site for the U.S. version of Final Fantasy XI is up and open for business. Among the amenities on the new site: a live camera displaying the current state of Vana'diel, a basic explanation of the game and its features, and a lovely new set of screenshots from both the MMORPG and from the included Tetra Master card game.

Final Fantasy XIwhich is just about to begin its public beta-testwill launch on the PC later this year and the PlayStation 2 in early 2004. PS2 users will need a Network Adaptor and hard drive, which Square Enix assures will be available alongside the game in stores.
