Namco Unveils Soul Calibur II Preorder Bonuses

Art books, demo discs, and other slices of heaven.

Online retailers gave us our first look today at some of the preorder bonuses Namco has cooked up for the U.S. versions of Soul Calibur II. The game is scheduled to hit the PS2, Xbox and GameCube on August 26, and?assuming you're fast and have the energy to preorder one of 'em?it'll come with one of several bonuses, not unlike what Namco prepared for early copies of Xenosaga Episode I.

Preordering Soul Calibur II (any version) at EB Games will net you a lovely T-shirt featuring several characters from the game. Going the GameStop route, however, gets you quite a bit more: an artbook filled with character sketches, biographies, landscapes and more bits of graphical wizardry, as well as a Namco demo disc that includes trailers and playable versions of Xenosaga, Ace Combat 4, MotoGP 3, Time Crisis 3, and R: Racing Evolution. (Keep in mind that GameStop's deal is only available in stores at the moment?the retailer didn't say whether they'll give out anything special with online orders.)

Stay tuned for more coverage of the U.S. Soul Calibur II very soon.
