Men of Valor hits the PC and Xbox. New screens 5/27!
Vivendi Universal Games took the wraps off Men of Valor: Vietnam today, a new action FPS from the fine folks that unleashed Medal of Honor: Allied Assault to an unsuspecting PC audience last year. The Unreal-engine game's set to come out 2004 for the PC and?wait for it?Xbox (huzzah), with VU's Sierra division handling the publishing duties.Men of Valor, developed by 2015, Inc., will try to do for the Vietnam War (or Vietnam Conflict, depending on what kind of professor teaches your history class) what Allied Assault did for World War II?portray it at the infantry level and give it the sort of story you'd never expect to see in a brainless FPS. This game will throw you in at Da Nang and direct you through the Tet offensive and the counterattack on Hue, undoubtedly killing off some CPU buddies to teach you the true meaning of heroism in the process. You can play the campaign mode with a partner, or show the Americans what freedom is really all about in the game's assorted multiplayer modes.
"With Medal of Honor Allied Assault, 2015 took steps towards developing a new type of first- person shooter that highlighted the excitement and danger of military conflict during World War II," said 2015 head Tom Kudirka. "Rather than place the player in the role of a traditional first-person shooter, the player was made to experience the vulnerability and heroism of the soldier taking part in a great crusade... In the same way, Men of Valor: Vietnam aims to recreate the tension, risk, and excitement of the jungle battlefields of the Vietnam War."
We'll have more info on 2015's latest very soon?in the meantime, take a look at these lovely screenshots.
