Gameloft & other devs 'cutting' Android development

The Android, Google's answer to the iPhone, doesn't seem to be garnering the same amount of game development love as Apple's handheld device.

Gameloft & other devs 'cutting' Android development

According to Reuters, Gameloft finance director Alexandre de Rochefort revealed that his company, along with many other game publishers, would be cutting Android game development "significantly." Rochefort cited low sales as the chief problem for Google's mobile operating system.

Gameloft's titles have been much higher earners on Apple's portable device according to Rochefort, as he revealed "We are selling 400 times more games on iPhone than on Android." The problem has been Google's ability to get the phone in customers, as Rochefort stated "Google has not been very good to entice customers to actually buy products."

Have any of you commenters been enticed by Google's line of phones? Anyone play a game on the Android?

Nah I'm an iPhone gamer I love my iPhone it's so fast and it feels so advanced..... Android feels like a homemade OS after my hands on with the G1.

I  my iPhone and Macintosh product's. I wouldn't trade it for any other brand of phone. Though Google is a really great company also. I think there's plenty of room for everyone.
