According to a report from a Russian gaming website, the contents of Modern Warfare 2's "No Russian" stage have caused the game to be recalled.

Modern Warfare 2 facing potential recall in Russia

Earlier today, IGN found info regarding a potential recall of Modern Warfare 2 in Russia. According to a translation (via Hellforge) of an article from a Russian gaming site (via GotPS3.ru), the controversial "No Russian" level has raised the ire of Russian politicians, causing all console copies to be recalled, with a new version set to release within a month.

The story also states that a patch for the PC version of the game will remove the offending level from the Russian version of Modern Warfare 2. We've sent a question to Infinity Ward about the authenticity of the recall.

KILLPEOPLE

I guess since it's titled "No Russian" that the Russian gov't would have a cow over it! Kinda of funny when basically the same type of terrorism occurs in that country!
