Pre-order MAG and get exclusive beta access

Pre-order Sony's epic online mulitplayer shooter for PlayStation 3, and start playing immediately.
Game retailer Gamestop is currently running a pre-order offer for Sony's upcoming online 256-player shooter MAG that will allow immediate access to the beta test of the game that is currently running. In order to take advantage of the offer you must have a PlayStation Network account (of course) as the game is online only. Gamestop's pre-order offer also includes an exclusive in-game character skin (pointing to an inevitable downloadable content program for the final release, no doubt.)
The game is currently scheduled for release on January 26, but the beta is running right now. From this coming Monday (11/9) the beta will include all of the maps and skill trees that will be present in the final release.

I like how you can get extras for pre-ordering, I just think Gamestop rips you off on trade-ins? Am I the only one who feels that way? I am boycotting them for giving me 7.75 recently for RE5 on PS3 that I traded in when I picked up Fifa 10 (which is the bomb btw). True, no one was holding a gun to my head but still.

Sometimes you can be lucky to get as much as $7.75 for a game. Some of the older stuff you're lucky to get more than a dollar or two.
The pre-order programs at a number of retailers for MAG are pretty interesting. Lots of skins, plus there's a free Home area (if you're into that kind of thing) if you pre-order with Amazon. Gamestop are (currently) the only one with beta access though.

this is old news gamepro, get with the times. this game looks awesome, and if i have an extra $5 when i get MW2 i might just preorder, then cancel.

I've been in the beta since it first started. The game is alot of fun and very addicting. And Skrilla, you probably could've got $20 or more on Craigslist for RE5.

I got into the private beta and it is fun, especially stealing guns from the other factions. Getting run over or blown up by your own teammates, not so fun.

Well, I'm a BETA tester and uh, let me say. Do NOT expect COD. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I was expecting more, especially when you boast 256 players online, I expect an all out war! But I may still get it.

im already online with the private beta that i've playing for a while now, but now that beta code is about to expire. i will go to gamestop and will preorder the game. mag is no joke, this game rocks. And on another note, i never trade games in at gamestop, they will rip you off. my local blockbuster, and toys r us take trades ins and they give you more credit then gamestop, but they lack the bonus items like codes, skins, etc. My advice, preorder games and get the goodies and then canel. I just did that for the god of war 3 demo! lol

I would gave you 20 bucks for RE5! I like going to gamestop and waiting for people to leave the store pissed off for the credit that gamestop was going to give them, and then offer a higher price, if its a game I wanted.
