Read on for details on the different reward strategies being tested.
Microsoft has begun to test a new rewards program on XBox Live, offering participants in the beta digital currency in return for filling out surveys, paying for Live subscriptions and purchasing downloadable content.
Thousands of XBox Live subscribers received this message weeks ago, and now we know why.
Three different levels of rewards have been revealed in the test program (thanks to Gaming Target) which is scheduled for a six-month trial period. A breakdown of each program and the rewards it offers are as follows:
Gray Program
Green Program
Orange Program
A breakdown of the Orange program, the most rewarding scheme currently being tested.
The program is invite-only (the strange emails we previously reported) and will run for at least six months (though participants cannot begin cashing in rewards until the three month mark,) after which we can expect to see the most profitable aspects integrated into the XBox Live service.

It may look cheap but you are getting 100 MS points for every survey you take. Take five surveys and you get 500 MS points. And with that you can get any number of good cheap games or other content on Marketplace.
I wish I had gotten chosen for this. I always turn down online surveys because they only give you a "chance" at winning a gift card(or something similiar) thru a random drawing. With these surveys your MS points are guarantee. Thats a win-win to me.

Looks cool. Too bad I am not a Live member yet. Getting points back sounds cool. This sounds like what credit card companies have been doing for years.
