God of War 3 to get Ultimate Edition, pre-order demos

Sony has announced today that the upcoming God of War III will have an Ultimate Edition complete with an artbook, replica Pandora's Box, and tons of digital content . Also, pre-orders of any version can get a downloadable demo!
Sony's official PlayStation blog was updated earlier today with enough new information about God of War 3 to satisfy even the neediest of deities. The biggest announcement is that next year's God of War 3 will have a requisite premium bundle--this one is being called the Ultimate Edition. According to the blog post, the Ultimate Edition will be housed inside a replica of Pandora's Box and have two items inside--a God of War 3 game and an art book. The lion's share of exclusive content will be digital, as the Ultimate Edition will include voucher codes for an in-game exclusive skin for Kratos and a combat arena with an exclusive environment and seven challenges. On the multimedia front, you'll be able to download a God of War 3 making-of documentary and two soundtracks--one containing music from the trilogy and the other including heavy metal tracks inspired by the series. According to the GameStop listing, the bundle will sell for $100.
Even if you're not willing to shell out a Ben Franklin for the Ultimate Edition, you'll still be able to score some sweet exclusives if you reserve the game before it comes out. Customers who pre-order either version of the game at select retailers will receive a voucher code to download God of War 3 demo today, before it's available with the God of War Collection or District 9. Additionally, Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop will all have their own exclusive downloadable skin, none of which resemble Kratos all that much.

Definitely cool looking but not $100 cool looking. I'll pick one up once they go on clearance at Best Buy for $50.

i've never bought a 'special edition' game at all ever(fucking rip offffff) but holy hell that would make a kick ass "stash" box!

why bother? if your a collector you aren't supposed to open it anyway, it loses all value, and in todays economy who in there right mind will buy one to play, and one to collect? Unless of coarse your filthy rich, and if you are... knock yourself out.

Already planning on getting the Blu-Ray for District 9... and already planning on pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition of GoW3 as well. Having 2 demos or not.... Something tells me those Ultimate Editions will sell out rather quickly... and be back on Amazon from Private Sells for $150-$200.

I hate how games have different editions these days, and I really hate the whole preorder to unlock more things in the games deal. When I spend $60 for a game, I want to have everything in the game to be able to be accessed without no codes or having to buy a complete collectors edition full of shit I don't need.
