Modern Warfare 2 to have optional playable terrorism

Another leaked video from Modern Warfare 2 shows an optional mission in which you must engage in terrorist activities. STORY SPOILERS INSIDE.
More leaked footage from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hit the internet late yesterday. This time around, the video revealed a much different surprise than third-person combat. If you want the gameplay twist to remain a secret, stop reading now. Single-player spoilers in the next paragraph!
The footage, viewable below (for god only knows how long, found on MapModNews), seemingly shows your character aiding Russian terrorists in assaulting an airport full of innocent civilians. VG247 spoke with Activision regarding the clip's authenticity and motivation. A representative from Activision stated "Yes it is [real]. The scene establishes the depth of evil and the cold bloodedness of a rogue Russian villain and his unit. By establishing that evil, it adds to the urgency of the player's mission to stop them. Players have the option of skipping over the scene. At the beginning of the game, there are two 'checkpoints' where the player is advised that some people may find an upcoming segment disturbing."
Activision's comments seem to indicate that this is one of the game's first scenes. The first Modern Warfare opened with a similarly non-traditional playable sequence, in which you took control of a foreign leader as he was executed in front of a crowd (watch on YouTube).

i cant wait for this game. and Activision, take my advice. dont listen to those controversy causing bastards that have nothing better to do with their lives than get pissed at video games. it could just as easily be called racist for Activision to take that terrorist mission out and all you can kill is arabs, so fuck you whining bitches.

These people just like to stir the pot of controversy, it gives them a reason to live.
I love popping in GTA4 and driving full speed down the sidewalk or my personal favorite, standing on the side of the bay and pushing people in...haha. It's just a VG.
