Nintendo considering larger DSi for the elderly in Japan

Reports are coming in from Japan that Nintendo may be developing a DSi with a larger screen that will allow elderly gamers to enjoy the portable without straining their vision.
Wired's GameLife blog recently uncovered a story from Japanese daily newspaper Nikkei Shimbun stating that Nintendo will release a new model of the DSi later this year that will sport four-inch dual screens--an increase of 3/4ths of an inch per screen. The impetus for this increase is reportedly to satiate elderly Nintendo customers, who have requested larger screens.
According to the NeoGAF thread in which the story was discovered, the screen size is seemingly the only alteration that would be made in the redesign. We'll keep you updated if this rumor becomes truth and heads stateside. The latter is doubtful, though. We really have no respect for our elders here in the US.

(1) LOL... I had one of those, and it was terrible.
(2) Apparently enough to warrant (possibly) making one with a bigger screen... I doubt that there's that much demand from the elderly anywhere else.

Nintendo just needs to make a new handheld with better graphics, not keep on remaking the DS with the same graphic games over and over again. Its getting old.
