Best Buy, Amazon offering deals on next-gen games

Retailers are gearing up for the holiday season with bulk discounts and a $20 incentive on Modern Warfare 2.
A copy of Best Buy's latest circular posted in a NeoGAF thread suggests that the retailer is clearing inventory with a "Buy 2, get a third free" sale on all PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii titles under $60. If the ad is legit this sale starts Sunday (October 25th) and runs through next Saturday (October 31st.) Given the convenient holiday timing and evidence of similar sales conducted by competitors like Amazon, next week seems like a great time to load up on games you missed out on.

Amazon is no slouch when it comes to gaming deals either, following up their recent sale with the announcement of a $20 incentive on all sales of Modern Warfare 2. Presumably an effort to match competitor Wal-Mart's offer of $15 with every copy purchased at walmart.com, users who purchase Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter online will receive $20 towards their next video game purchase on Amazon. The credit comes with every edition save the ultra-expensive Prestige edition, which only includes a $10 coupon with the Xbox 360 version.

this is awesome now i will be able to pick up uncharted 2 and borderlands and witht eh free game pre-order mw 2 they can do that irght ?!

Called Nice lady at Amazon, she gave me 5 bucks more credit because I never got an email from Amazon saying that I would get that 5 bucks....now I will have 20!

Honestly though, if you have both a PS3 and 360...and want to get MW2...get the 360 version. I like both systems equally, but IW seems to lean toward the 360

I doubt it. Usually they don't allow pre-orders when it comes to deals like this. But you can always pick up the game that's being advertised to the right (Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion).

yeah. thats what i thought oh well tekken 6 will have to do lol it looked good but after a while tekken just gets so repetitive and i am horrible at tekken so i cant go online haha.
