Act fast if you want to get an early sneak look at the changes to Xbox Live. Microsoft is shutting down the sign up process later today.
If you want to get an early look at the updates coming to Xbox Live later this month, you need to act fast. The preview program to test the Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm integration with the service will be closing its sign-up program later today, so that Microsoft can send its first wave of notifications to users by this Friday.
To get in on the program you'll need your Xbox 360 12 digit serial number and console ID, your Xbox Live Gamertag and the Windows Live ID that's associated with your account. Then you just need to head over to the sign up site right here, and keep your fingers crossed.
To see our impressions of the new update, you can check out our early look here.

Already signed up for this. And since it's in the update, I decided to try Last.fm and I'm loving it. As for Twitter, I think I'll stick with Facebook, but might give it a try.

Facebook and twitter are already very popular. But I can see this update making last.fm more popular, and if it adds gameplay functionality sometime it will be even more popular! Maybe it can't play during games because of how you cant listen to your library unless you visit the website, legal issues for it being free I'm guessing.
