After only a week, FIFA 10 has broken two very impressive sales records.

You heard right folks. FIFA Soccer 10 has had an amazing launch in Europe and has become the fastest-selling sports game of all time. With soccer's popularity growing at an amazing rate (almost as fast as mixed martial arts), you can see that demand for footy titles is keeping pace.

Now, if you haven?t acquired the FIFA 10 demo, I strongly urge you download it immediately. The game features all sorts of new content such as practice arena, customizable set pieces, animations, 360 degree dribbling, and improved AI.

I have to say, the FIFA 10 demo feels more responsive than FIFA 09. While I've been playing last year's edition non-stop in preparation for my review, I can't help but jump in every odd minute for some quick glory. Anyway, enough gushing. Here's the official word from EA, via press release:

There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. 1.7 million copies during the first week is nothing short of spectacular. This game is outselling every thing else on the shelves, and it hasn't even hit the U.S. yet! With a decent fan base here in the states, I don't the momentum slowing down much (if at all).

Is it safe to declare FIFA 10 the best soccer game of all time? Well, we do have Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 hitting around the same time, but with FIFA?s reputation and more-casual control structure, I don?t see much standing in the giant?s way.

hahha totally agree with ya on that one. Although its the most popular and fastest selling sports game, I was soo expecting this amount of comments.
