Sega confirmed rumors of a delay today with an updated release date for their upcoming espionage RPG.
Sega quietly updated the Alpha Protocol website today to reflect a new release date, bumping the game back from an October 6th release (today) to the mysterious "Spring 2010."

This move confirms rumors we reported on last week and marks the second major delay of Obsidian's eagerly-anticipated action RPG. Given the leaked conversation two weeks ago between reps of Sony and Sega suggesting that Alpha Protocol was faring poorly during internal testing, it seems likely that the game has been delayed to allow additional development time. The decision may also have been influenced by the competitive nature of the holiday release window, though this delay moves Alpha Protocol closer to similar RPG Mass Effect 2.
Sega reps have yet to release a statement explaining their decision to hold release of Alpha Protocol.

I find it funny that, Obsidian announced the delay after the game would have released.
