2K Games debuts on XBLA next week with Axel & Pixel

A unique and artistic new title will mark the debut of 2K Games' "2K Play" division.
If this plays as weird as it looks, I'm sold.
2K Games just handed out a new trailer for Axel & Pixel, an upcoming puzzle-adventure that has literally blown my mind. I'm not joking, my mind now ceases to exist as it once did because the art style of this game is so unbelievably stupefying. For reals. They have also announced that the game will hit Xbox Live Arcade exclusively on October 14, which is next Wednesday for those who are easily confused.
The video shows off the puzzle solving nature of its gameplay along with a few random minigames and rad looking vehicle segments, but it’s the Terry Gilliam-esque background visuals mixed with brightly animated characters that will truly catch the eyes of gamers. Axel & Pixel marks the beginning of 2K’s foray into the world digital distribution with their new 2K Play label, which is also preparing the equally impressive looking The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for release next year.

I've been looking forward to The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom for quite a while, but this game just came out of nowhere. I'm really digging the more artistic games coming out on XBLA, but I worry that this is coming out too closely to Lucidity, which has a very similar concept.

If it's 2K it's got to be good! It is cool that there are more artistic games going to XBL and I can't wait for MW2 super elite console so I can buy it. Hurry up Microsoft!! Oh wait nevermind take your time.....
