A mysterious website from Capcom is on the verge of revealing new warriors for Street Fighter IV. Rumors point to T. Hawk.
Just in case you haven't been paying attention to your Twitter feeds, Capcom Unity's own Twitter page has just been updated with a link to a mysterious website named "?????". Looking closely, the URL on the site seems to indicate the coming annoucement of a new warrior to the Street Fighter IV roster. We have no idea what Japanese Standard Time translates to over here (readers, a little help?), but the announcement is currently scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Tokyo time.
If you look closely at the picture from GamePro Germany (we have a German department?), you can see Event Hubs has pointed out both T. Hawk's character on the TV screen and a possible "SUPER" mark on the Street Fighter IV logo. Wow. That's some damn good sleuthing, boys.
Some rumors have already been generating buzz that the new content will take shape in the form of new DLC and the reintroduction of T. Hawk, according to some Matlock-style guesswork by the gamers at Street Fighter fansite Event Hubs. With photos pulled from some of our European counterparts in GamePro Germany, Event Hubs surmised that the next SFIV update could be called Super Street Fighter IV, and T. Hawk would be making his way to the game.
As if that wasn't enough news, French website JV247 leaked shots what might be screenshots of T. Hawk and a new character in action. Kotaku's Mike Fahey seems to think that the new character may be Juri, an assassin for overpowered boss man Seth. Sounds hot.
More rumors circulating around Event Hubs, Shoryuken, and other websites also hint at crazier and awesome features, like Street Fighter III characters Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto; Final Fight's Cody and Guy; the return of bonus stages, and more moves for more characters, including the original eight World Warriors.
Juri, one of the new rumored fighters. Huh. If this is a hoax, it's a damn good one.
All that remains to be been is what Capcom formerly announces in the next 24 hours, and us hoping that whatever's coming doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I held off on buying SFIV, only rented it and found it to be alright, but if they put Dudley and Guy in there, I just might bite on this one, maybe have some sort of version with all the new DLC included or something. It'd be awesome if they included a "Techno viking" alternate costume for Zangief, then I'd just have to buy it twice.

Update: This is not DLC. This is being sold as a new stand alone disc. Let the repetitive versions of Street Fighter 4 BEGIN!
On a side note: They state it will not be sold at full price and SFIV owners will get some sort of bonus. My bet is the bonus is not going to be worth it. The way the price dropped on SFIV after it released I may wait and pick this up for a lower price.

AWESOME. Don't care for T Hawk. But anytime we get new characters in SF or more characters, I am very happy. Ibuki would be sweet to have. Would love to see her. Juri looks cool. Can't wait.

I just read the article at gamespot. So I guess it is real. The still haven't confirmed, but there trying include eight additional characters, with T.Hawk and Juri already confirmed. Every fighter having two ultra's is gonna be sweet!! Can't wait, spring 2010!

I don't get why only 2. Back in Alpha 2, they all had 3.
